the Fall Equinox release was a lot about fixing bugs and improving the user experience. The highlight of this release is without question the new notification system πͺπΌπͺ which has been on the radar for a long time.
Notifications are important to give a project traction, however in a world of digital overload it is even more important that notifications can be controlled individually and only deliver meaningful content. βοΈπ₯οΈ
We started the ARK with the premise of harvesting the power of IT for social and ecological good under the condition of applying mindful communication. πͺπͺ¬π§Watch this early concept video about a βveganβ form of digital communication: https://youtu.be/zM6MBo6nsno?si=bkkpfla8xP6iBZrj
This release is the first step to structure notifications within communities, commons and ecoregions in an appropriate manner. Soon you will receive digests about the ecosystems you care about, whether small or large.
Instead of a conceptual introduction – we had many of these during the last three years – we show you recent reference projects of place-based learning, which Green Steps has implemented in last few months. These projects show how the ARK has evolved into a software solution which empowers even tiny volunteer run organizations like Green Steps to create lasting impact.
We invite you to share your projects in the next crew call, which is scheduled for Dec 17th, just before βοΈ Winter Solstice.
Until then fair winds and smooth waters. π¬οΈππ
